Yeongsangangcheong Holds 'Gwangyangman Area Chemical Accident Safety Management Council' Meeting
The Yeosu Chemical Disaster Joint Disaster Prevention Center of the Yeongsan River Basin Environmental Office announced on the 27th that it will hold the 'Gwangyang Bay Area Chemical Accident Safety Management Council' at the Di Ocean Resort in Yeosu, Jeonnam on the 28th.
The 'Chemical Accident Safety Management Council' has been held since 2014 to discuss various roles and cooperation measures among related organizations for effective prevention and response in case of chemical accidents.
The council aims to share the progress of the '2023 Work Suspension Request Campaign' for accident prevention and the direction of the 'Joint Inspection and Supervision of Hazardous Chemical Handling Sites,' with the goal of establishing a cooperative system for chemical accident prevention and response within the Yeosu Industrial Complex.
Nine related organizations including the Yeosu Disaster Prevention Center, Yeosu City, the 31st Infantry Division, Korea Environment Corporation, and Korea Industrial Complex Corporation, as well as 10 civic groups and experts, are expected to participate.
