Yangcheon-gu (Mayor Lee Gijae) announced that it will operate the ‘Yangcheon-gu Sewing Class,’ where residents can learn specialized sewing knowledge and skills that are highly practical in daily life and linked to employment and start-ups, at the Yangcheon Culture Center from July to September, and will recruit 135 students for 9 courses starting June 23.
The ‘Yangcheon-gu Sewing Class’ was newly established in the annex of the Yangcheon Culture Center by reorganizing the existing sewing courses focused on home fashion and clothing production to provide differentiated self-development opportunities for residents.
To this end, the district invited experienced professional instructors in the sewing field and extended class hours to ensure substantial lessons.
In addition to regular courses, a special lecture program reflecting the latest trends and meeting residents’ learning needs was newly added.
The sewing class starting in July consists of a total of 9 courses, including regular lectures on ▲quilting interior accessory production ▲pet vacation clothing production ▲home fashion production of personalized daily accessories ▲clothing repair and remodeling ▲casual wear production, as well as special lectures on baby jacket, frilled dress apron, travel bag production, and basic pattern drafting for tops and bottoms.
Classes will be held from July 4 to September 26 in the basement first floor education room of the annex at Yangcheon Culture Center. Detailed schedules and tuition fees for each course can be found on the district office website’s integrated reservation portal, and residents wishing to enroll can apply online starting June 23.
