Gyeonggi Office of Education Introduces New Work Methods Including Voluntary Selection of Office and Seats
The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education is introducing new work methods such as autonomous selection of office buildings and seats, a 5G mobile work environment, G-Cloud collaboration, and a video conference reporting system.
On the 21st, the Office announced that it will be the first educational administrative institution nationwide to implement the 'Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education Smart Work.'
Employees at the main office will initially be able to choose to work at either the Southern or Northern office building for as many days as they wish, depending on their autonomous capabilities and the nature of their work.
Using kiosks and the web, an electronic nameplate is automatically generated for the selected seat, and the phone number is linked. The cloud printing system not only saves paper but also prevents document information leaks.
The Office is building 5G infrastructure for the first time nationwide among local governments and metropolitan and provincial offices of education to ensure that smart work can be established flexibly.
After a pilot operation period in July and August, it will be utilized by all departments in the main office from September onward. With the introduction of 5G, a mobile work environment using laptops will enable work processing anytime and anywhere, such as at business trip locations or while traveling in a vehicle.
Additionally, with the introduction of G-Cloud, functions such as video conferencing, community, drive, and scheduling will be used to share daily work situations and collaborate within teams and between departments. In particular, the video conference reporting system allows real-time video reporting to executives at the department head level and above, making work processing more flexible.
An employee who experienced the newly introduced work method since March said, "Being able to freely choose the office building, work floor, and seat, and having video reporting through G-Cloud has reduced fatigue from long commutes and increased work concentration." They added, "The introduction of flexible work methods has allowed me to use time more efficiently to support school sites."
