The Korean Institute of Architects and Incheon City Sign Memorandum of Understanding for Hosting the 21st Asia Architects Congress
The Korea Institute of Registered Architects and Incheon Metropolitan City announced on the 21st that they have signed a business agreement to successfully host the "21st Asian Architects Congress."
The Korea Institute of Registered Architects and Incheon Metropolitan City signed a business agreement on the 21st at the 2nd-floor reception room of Incheon City Hall to successfully host the 21st Asia Architects Congress. At the signing ceremony, the Institute of Registered Architects and Incheon City agreed to mutually cooperate for the successful hosting of the 21st Asian Architects Congress, scheduled to be held in 2025.
The Asian Architects Congress is the largest festival for architects in Asia, held biennially to promote friendship and technical exchange among member countries of the Architects Regional Council Asia (ARCASIA), which consists of 22 architectural organizations across the Asian region.
Through the agreement, the two organizations plan to actively promote the bid among ARCASIA member countries and participate in the 20th Asian Architects Congress to be held in the Philippines this September to vigorously pursue hosting the next congress.
Seok Jeong-hoon, President of the Korea Institute of Registered Architects, said, "The 21st Asian Architects Congress is an important event where architectural organizations from across Asia gather to exchange opinions and collaborate on the latest architectural trends, technologies, and sustainable urban development. We hope Incheon Metropolitan City will become a crucial turning point leading the renaissance of Korean architecture."
Incheon Mayor Yoo Jeong-bok also stated, "Through this agreement, hosting the 21st Asian Architects Congress and sharing visions and agendas with member architects will be a great opportunity to enhance the city's brand competitiveness and successfully realize the Jemulpo Renaissance and New Hong Kong City projects to build Incheon into a world-class city."

Meanwhile, to secure the hosting rights for the 21st Asian Architects Congress, the Korea Institute of Registered Architects and several other Asian architectural organizations are preparing competitive presentations, and with the final selection of the venue scheduled for this September, they are intensifying their promotional activities targeting member countries.
