Technology Finance Support Agreement
The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Chairman Kim Jong-ho, hereinafter Kibo) announced on the 21st that it has signed a business agreement with the Korea Institute of Marine Science and Technology Promotion (President Oh Un-yeol, hereinafter KIMST) to create marine and fisheries science research and development (R&D) achievements and support open innovation for small and medium-sized venture companies.
This agreement was established to build infrastructure that can link KIMST's R&D support with Kibo's commercialization guarantees, enabling small and medium-sized venture companies to conduct joint research and development in the field of marine and fisheries science and to smoothly receive support for technology transfer and technology finance of the resulting outcomes.
According to the agreement, both organizations will work together on ▲ sharing information about small and medium-sized venture companies that have acquired successful R&D projects ▲ providing technology finance and commercialization support to small and medium-sized venture companies involved in technology transfer ▲ enhancing the successful technology transfer and commercialization of excellent R&D achievements in the marine and fisheries science field.

Director Lee Jae-pil of Kibo stated, "Through this agreement, both organizations will continue information exchange and cooperative relationships to ensure that small and medium-sized venture companies in the marine and fisheries science field receive practical assistance and achieve results." He added, "Kibo will continue to actively support technology finance and follow-up R&D projects for small and medium-sized venture companies and expand inter-agency cooperative projects to increase the commercialization success rate of these companies."
