The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education announced on the 15th that it will hold a forum titled "How to Expand the Employment of Teachers with Disabilities?" in Seminar Room 1 at the National Assembly Members' Office Building in Yeouido, Seoul.
The chairperson of the forum will be Professor Han Kyung-geun of Dankook University (Department of Special Education), and the moderator will be Han Gyu-il, Director of Special Education at the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education.
Presenters and discussants include ▲ Hong Seong-du, Professor at Seoul National University of Education (Department of Early Childhood Special Education) ▲ Kim Ra-kyung, Professor at Catholic University (Department of Special Education) ▲ Pyeon Do-hwan, Policy Director of the Union of Teachers with Disabilities ▲ Yang Chan-woo, Director of University Admission Support at the Korea Council for University Education ▲ Noh Jae-seon, Chief Admission Officer at Gyeongin National University of Education ▲ Kim Sun-hee, Principal of Areum School ▲ Yoon Kyung-chan, Teacher at Ansan Special Education Support Center ▲ Lee Bu-yong, Director of Disability Employment at the Ministry of Employment and Labor ▲ Won Yong-yeon, Director of Teacher Training and Development at the Ministry of Education ▲ Lee Joo-ok, Director of External Cooperation at the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education, among others.
Meanwhile, the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education has formed a working-level consultative body jointly with the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Employment and Labor, and Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled to expand the employment of teachers with disabilities and enhance the effectiveness of disability employment levies. This is the first time a working-level consultative body among related agencies has been established for the training of teachers with disabilities.

The working-level consultative body will prepare practical measures for expanding the employment of teachers with disabilities and improving education and welfare systems for persons with disabilities through regular meetings and continuous consultations.
