Online Alcohol Sales Sites 'Tipssi·Woorisul' Sell
Over 60 Restaurants and Liquor Specialty Stores Participating
One Spirits is accelerating its efforts to target overseas markets such as the United States, Hong Kong, Thailand, Canada, and Europe.
One Spirits Co., Ltd. announced on the 15th that its product ‘Wonsoju Original’ has been introduced in about 60 restaurants, medium to large liquor specialty stores, and 18 supermarkets across New York, New Jersey, and California in the United States.
One Spirits entered the U.S. market starting with New York in the first half of this year. Wonsoju can be purchased on online liquor sales sites 'Tipsee' and 'Woorisul'. In New York, Wonsoju Original made its debut at the Korean dining & bar 'Seoul Salon'. In April, a successful Wonsoju launch party was held at Seoul Salon, and currently, Wonsoju Original and Wonsoju cocktails are being sold there. In addition to Seoul Salon, Wonsoju has been introduced in about 60 restaurants across the U.S., including Michelin 5-star Genesis House Restaurant in New York, Michelin 1-star Oijimi and Jua, Gaonnuri Restaurant, Soju House, Take31, Ariari, Goopji, and On Do, a fusion Korean restaurant in New Jersey.
It can also be found at major liquor retailers. Wonsoju Original is sold at New York’s largest liquor stores such as 'Risers' and 'Union Square Wine Shop', as well as New Jersey’s 'Wine & People', 'Linwood Wine', 'Central Avenue Liquor Store', and California’s 'Hannam Chain'. In LA, pairing events with local food are also underway. At the LA and San Diego branches of 'Prince Street Pizza', one of the three major pizza brands in the U.S., a 'Wonsoju Food Pairing Menu' featuring Korean bulgogi pizza was introduced.
In Hong Kong and Singapore, special collaborative events are being held with local fine dining chefs. In July, a pairing menu will be showcased at 'Neon Pigeon', a famous fine dining restaurant in Singapore.
Domestic offline sales channels have also expanded. In addition to the existing nationwide GS25 convenience stores, Wonsoju sales have started at large supermarkets and department stores such as Homeplus, Homeplus Express, Hyundai Department Store, Shinsegae Department Store, and Lotte Department Store. Subsequently, Wonsoju products can also be purchased at AK Plaza, Save Zone, and Mega Mart. For the first time, official sales have begun at domestic bars as well. Starting this month, One Spirits will sell four types of creative cocktails using Wonsoju and Wonsoju Classic at ‘OUL’, a Korean contemporary bar inside the Four Seasons Hotel in Gwanghwamun, Seoul.
