Jang Chung-nam, Namhae County Governor, Visits Central Government Departments to Propose Improvements to the Local Allocation Tax System
Visit to Ministry of the Interior and Safety and Ministry of Economy and Finance... Discussion on Current Projects
Jang Chung-nam, the governor of Namhae County, Gyeongnam, visited government ministries located in Sejong City to hold business consultations for the swift promotion of pending projects and to advocate for the revision of the general grant tax system.
On the 13th, Governor Jang met with the Director of the National Property Policy Division at the Ministry of Strategy and Finance and requested the expedited sale procedures of the national land scheduled for inclusion to facilitate the early commencement of the Seongsan District Park Golf Course construction project.
He then consecutively met with the Director of the Grant Tax Division and the Director of the Local Finance and Economy Bureau at the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, requesting a rational revision of the general grant tax calculation standards, which have been disadvantageous to Namhae County, within the year. The Grant Tax Division also promised active consideration, noting that while many local governments often request special grant taxes, it is rare for a case like Namhae County to approach the issue through improvements to the general grant tax system.
