Taekwang Group Tcast Appoints Seong Hoe-yong as CEO
Taekwang Group's media affiliate T-cast announced on the 15th that it held a shareholders' meeting on the 14th and officially appointed Sung Hoe-yong as its CEO.
New CEO Sung Hoe-yong joined JoongAng Ilbo in 1988 and became a founding member of SBS in 1991. He has since served as head of the social affairs department, head of the policy team in the planning office, news director, director of the media business bureau, Tokyo bureau chief in Japan, and editorial writer.
By bringing in CEO Sung Hoe-yong, who has extensive experience in various media businesses, T-cast expects to not only strengthen its own capabilities but also enhance customer satisfaction in broadcasting and telecommunications through mutual cooperation among media affiliates within the group.
CEO Sung said, "I plan to work together with employees to improve operational efficiency and strengthen competitiveness," adding, "I will strive to lay the foundation for T-cast to develop in the rapidly changing domestic broadcasting market environment."
Meanwhile, T-cast is the integrated brand for Taekwang Group's content business division, founded in 2009, overseeing the content business sector of cable broadcasting.
