Dongjak-gu Operates Road, Traffic, and Construction Administration Task Force on Weekends and Holidays
Operation of a Holiday Task Force Composed of 30 Civil Servants from Various Fields for Rapid Response to Various Accidents
Dongjak-gu (Mayor Park Ilha) announced on the 15th that it formed a 'Road, Traffic, and Construction Administration Task Force' to handle road and traffic-related civil complaints even on holidays and has begun a pilot operation since the 10th.
The task force consists of 30 civil servants from each department, including the Road Management Division, Traffic Administration Division, and Construction Administration Division, working on-site and remotely from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and public holidays to promptly respond to various incidents such as emergency restoration.
This measure aims to quickly resolve residents' inconveniences caused by sidewalk subsidence, road cavities, damage to underground sidewalks and roadway facilities, and illegal storage piled up on sidewalks, and to respond proactively.
In the past, it was difficult to restore quickly during emergencies on Saturdays and public holidays when employees were not working due to the absence of responsible personnel.
Also, during weekdays, regular patrols were conducted to maintain civil complaints on the same day, and after the pilot operation, problems in the response process will be analyzed and supplemented, with full-scale operation planned from August.
Furthermore, the district has also organized a reporting system for rapid and systematic work processing, including the use of SNS to share situations anytime and anywhere in case of disaster situations.
