Since last year, Homeplus has been providing heat and cold illness prevention kits to delivery drivers for their safety. The Cool Plus kit consists of ice packs to help prevent heatstroke, a cool neck to help maintain body temperature, and items to prevent dehydration such as saline glucose, powdered electrolyte drinks, and water bottles, all carried in the delivery driver's vest.
Homeplus has established work standards for heat illness prevention and health management, which will be implemented at each store. They provide ongoing guidance on hydration and rest during the hot season. Additionally, they are implementing various on-site support measures to prevent temperature rises in workspaces by preparing additional cooling equipment according to the conditions of different areas within large supermarkets.
