Jindo-gun, Listen to Village Broadcasts Anytime and Anywhere
Smart Village Broadcasting System Fully Established Throughout the Entire Village
Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim Hee-su) has completed the establishment of a smart village broadcasting system using information and communication technology (ICT) in all villages and has started its operation.
According to the county on the 13th, the smart village broadcasting system is a project that dramatically improves the existing village broadcasting method by integrating information and communication technology to overcome the temporal, spatial, and physical limitations caused by aging in rural fishing villages.
The system allows village chiefs to broadcast to residents via mobile phones, landlines, and smartphone applications.
Residents can listen to village broadcasts anytime and anywhere without being restricted by location or time through smartphones and telephones.
In particular, residents of apartment complexes and other multi-family housing in Jindo-eup urban areas, who previously had difficulty listening to village broadcasts, can now listen directly via smartphones and replay recorded broadcasts, eliminating broadcasting blind spots.
Additionally, residents without smartphones can submit and register a smart village broadcasting application form at their local eup or myeon office to receive broadcasts via mobile or home phones.
Governor Kim Hee-su stated, “With the establishment of the smart village broadcasting service that eliminates broadcasting blind spots, it is expected to enhance residents’ convenience in information and communication,” adding, “We will strive to protect residents’ valuable lives and property through rapid information delivery.”
