"Mapo Safety Companion" Local Autonomous Disaster Prevention Group, Thorough Education on Climate Change and Disaster Preparedness
Mapo-gu (Mayor Park Gang-su) conducted disaster response training on the afternoon of the 12th at the district office auditorium for a total of about 400 members, including the Local Autonomous Disaster Prevention Group (Director Kim Seong-woo) and staff.
This training was organized to strengthen local safety readiness in preparation for rapid environmental changes and various types of disasters. Woo Seong-hyun, Secretary General of the Disaster Prevention Culture Promotion Institute, delivered an in-depth 90-minute lecture on recent major disaster cases and response methods.

Before the training, Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, said, "Last year, there were many adverse events nationwide, including COVID-19, large-scale wildfires, typhoons, and facility collapses." He added, "I hope you approach this training with a sense of mission, recognizing that the voluntary participation and cooperation of residents familiar with local conditions play a significant role in community safety."
