Gangdong-gu (Mayor Lee Soo-hee) is producing and distributing the '2023 Welfare Work Manual at a Glance' to provide residents with prompt and accurate welfare services and to enhance the work convenience of welfare staff.
Previously, since 2008, the district has compiled the key contents of various and complex welfare projects according to life cycle and income quintiles into a single book titled '2023 Welfare Work Manual at a Glance.'
It includes 113 projects across 8 areas: ▲Welfare for Low-Income Groups ▲Childbirth and Childcare ▲Child, Adolescent, and Youth Welfare ▲Welfare for Persons with Disabilities ▲Senior Welfare ▲Health and Medical Care ▲Job and Housing Welfare.
In particular, this year’s manual also includes various projects implemented by private organizations, focusing on preventing blind spots for non-beneficiaries excluded from public services.
The manual contains an overview of each project, eligibility criteria, application documents, and support details.
Additionally, contact information for the responsible departments and staff is provided, which is expected to enable prompt and accurate service delivery.
Moreover, the manual is distributed to related institutions within Gangdong-gu, such as welfare facilities and elementary, middle, and high schools, to facilitate cooperation between the public and private sectors and provide timely services tailored to individual crisis situations across various social groups.
