Kim Ki-hyun says Lee Jae-myung inherited "Chinese Dream" Moon's pro-China DNA
Kim Ki-hyun, leader of the People Power Party, strongly criticized Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, on the 11th, saying that Lee inherited the humiliating servile diplomacy DNA of former President Moon Jae-in, following Lee's recent meeting with Xing Haiming, the Chinese Ambassador to Korea.
On the afternoon of the same day, Kim stated on Facebook, "No matter how much you try to sugarcoat the dinner between Lee and the Chinese ambassador, it is nothing but an unsightly and unpleasant scene."
He pointed out, "There is no sign of national interest or diplomacy," adding, "Only the low-level perception of Lee and the Democratic Party, who think 'If it harms the Yoon Seok-yeol government, it is okay even if our national dignity is damaged and national interest is infringed,' was fully exposed." He then criticized, "It is a predicted disaster of Lee, who inherited the humiliating servile diplomacy DNA of former President Moon Jae-in, who was obsessed with the 'Chinese Dream.'"
Regarding Lee's explanation of the meeting as "cooperation for national interest," Kim retorted, "Is Chinese servile diplomacy called national interest diplomacy?" and questioned, "What help did it do for national interest to consistently maintain a submissive attitude without uttering a word in the face of arrogant and deliberate humiliation?"
He urged the Democratic Party, "Regardless of party lines, we should respond as a united front for national interest in diplomatic matters," and added, "I hope you use the energy spent on obstructing everything the government and ruling party do to take care of people's livelihoods."
Earlier, on the 8th, Ambassador Xing invited Lee to his residence and made excessive remarks directly targeting our government, saying, "Those who bet on China's defeat will surely regret it later." In response, on the morning of the next day, First Vice Foreign Minister Jang Ho-jin summoned Ambassador Xing to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building. The Ministry stated, "We issued a stern warning and expressed strong regret over Ambassador Xing's unreasonable and provocative remarks that violate diplomatic conventions."
