Gyeongho Kim, Gwangjin-gu Mayor, Conducts Night Patrol with Residents
On the 8th, District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho and neighborhood resident representatives conducted a nighttime patrol together, listening to residents' opinions on site
Focused inspection on safety hazards such as security light installation status, street obstructions, and facility damage
Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin District, conducted a 'Joint Resident Nighttime Patrol' in Guui 1-dong on the 8th.
Since April, the district has been identifying safety hazards and inconveniences that are difficult to detect during the day through the 'Joint Resident Nighttime Patrol.' Resident representatives from each neighborhood and community center staff patrol safety-vulnerable areas together, listen to residents' opinions on site, and work to resolve issues.
Mayor Kim Kyung-ho also participated in this patrol. The inspection focused on ▲the status of security light operation and discovering new installation locations ▲street obstructions ▲safety hazards such as facility damage ▲and alley cleanliness.
Local residents met on site mentioned the need for ▲additional security lights on Jayang-ro 32-gil ▲measures to eradicate illegal dumping near the boundary of Guui 3-dong ▲pruning of trees along the fence of Saehan Apartment ▲strengthening pest control activities ▲and cleaning rainwater drains on side streets in residential areas.
Mayor Kim Kyung-ho said, “We will reflect the issues you raised as soon as possible,” and added, “We will continue to communicate with residents on site and make Gwangjin a better place to live.”
Through nighttime patrols, until last month, the district has maintained women’s safe return paths, installed logo projectors prohibiting illegal dumping, and repaired obstructions on sidewalks, damaged roads, pedestrian safety fences, and bent traffic signs.
