Environmental Talk Concert with Citizens Held
On the 7th, Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam held an environmental talk concert with broadcaster Tyler as a special event during Changwon City's Environmental Education Week.
Broadcaster Tyler is the author of "There Is No Second Earth" and an ambassador for the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). He has appeared on shows such as "Non-Summit" and "Talk Power 25 Hours."
On this day, Hong Nam-pyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, Kim I-geun, Chairman of the Changwon Special City Council, along with about 1,000 citizens and students participated. Especially, with KBS announcer Shim In-bo hosting, Mayor Hong and Tyler exchanged talks about the environment in a conversational format, drawing the interest and attention of the citizens.

Following this, Tyler gave a special lecture titled "Climate Crisis ? A Crisis for My Life and My People," delivering a message to citizens that although issues like global warming, climate change, and ecological footprints can sometimes seem too vast and difficult to approach, they can be solved by starting with simple shifts in thinking. It became a moment for shared feelings and empathy.
University student Seo Young-min said, “Hearing the mayor’s thoughts on the environment and his childhood stories made him feel as familiar as a neighborhood uncle, which was very nice, and Tyler’s lecture on the climate crisis also deeply touched my heart.”
