Busan Office of Education Cultivates Compliance Spirit Through Theater
Busan Metropolitan Office of Education will hold the "25th Middle School Student Theater Competition on Basic Order and Law-abiding Life" at 1:30 PM on the 8th in the main auditorium of the Busan Student Education and Culture Center.
This competition is jointly hosted by the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, Busan District Prosecutors' Office, and the Busan Regional Association of the Ministry of Justice's Youth Crime Prevention Committee, with about 300 participants including students and parents.
The Busan Office of Education stated that the competition was held to enhance students' awareness of law-abiding spirit and basic order through theater performances, aiming to prevent school violence and help students grow into healthy democratic citizens.
Five middle school teams that passed the preliminary competitions held by each education support office in May will participate in this competition, presenting works with creativity and artistic value. Additionally, students from Jang-an Middle School, the grand prize winner of last year's competition, and the dance team "Vivid" from Ban-an Middle School will perform special shows.
The Office of Education plans to award one school the grand prize (certificate, trophy, and 3 million KRW prize money), two schools the gold prize (certificate, trophy, and 2 million KRW prize money), two schools the silver prize (certificate, trophy, and 1 million KRW prize money), one individual the best acting award (100,000 KRW cultural gift certificate), and five individuals the excellent acting award (50,000 KRW cultural gift certificates). Each team's theater instructors will receive a commendation from the Superintendent of Education.
