Changwon Special City Aims for Top Rankings in All Events at Gyeongsangnam-do Residents Sports Competition
Team Assembly Decision Ceremony Held
The Changwon City Sports Council in Gyeongnam held a send-off ceremony for the Changwon Special City athletes participating in the 62nd Gyeongsangnam-do Residents Sports Festival at 11 a.m. on the 7th at the Hillsky Convention.
Attending the ceremony were Hong Nam-pyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City; Kim I-geun, Chairman of the Changwon Special City Council; Park Seong-ho, Chairman of the Changwon City Sports Council; Oh Kyung-moon, Superintendent of Changwon City Office of Education; along with sports council executives, officials from participating sports organizations, and about 170 athletes.

The athlete representatives' oath was taken by Kendo athlete Kim Je-seung and track and field athlete Han Ye-sol, pledging fair and honorable competition as male and female representatives.
The 62nd Gyeongsangnam-do Residents Sports Festival will be held over four days from the 9th to the 12th in Tongyeong City.
The Changwon Special City athlete delegation, selected from local high school, university, and city office workplace sports teams, will field a total of 1,000 members?674 athletes and 326 officials and coaches?making it the largest delegation in the province, competing in all 31 sports disciplines. This year, they aim to achieve top rankings across all events with their formidable strength.
