Two Men in Their 20s Arrested for Breaking ATM and Stealing Money to Fund Entertainment Expenses
Two men in their 20s were arrested by the police for breaking into a convenience store ATM and stealing the money inside to spend on entertainment expenses.
According to the Haman Police Station in Gyeongnam on the 7th, they are accused of damaging an ATM installed outside a convenience store in Gunbuk-myeon, Haman-gun, around 12:20 a.m. on the 2nd, and stealing 7.93 million won from inside.
They targeted the quiet night; while one kept watch, the other used a pre-prepared tool to break the machine.
The police tracked the suspects' escape route by car and arrested them around 10 p.m. that night at a bar in Uiryeong-gun.
The two admitted to committing the crime to raise money for entertainment expenses, and it was found that the stolen money was squandered on entertainment and sports gambling funds.
