Geumcheon-gu Operates 'On-site District Mayor's Office Website' Focused on Fieldwork and Communication
Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) operates the ‘On-site Mayor’s Office Website’ to promote field administration and communicate with residents.
The website can be accessed directly from the Geumcheon-gu Office homepage, and the detailed menu consists of ▲ Visiting On-site Mayor’s Day ▲ Suggestions and Processing Results ▲ Field Administration ▲ Direct Text Message to the Mayor.
‘Visiting On-site Mayor’s Day’ is a session where the mayor selects topics related to major issues or current affairs of the district and visits the site in person to communicate with residents.
Since November last year, it has been held five times with themes such as resolving corporate difficulties, youth policies, solving cleaning complaints, and realizing a prestigious educational city. In the future, it plans to operate with themes such as creating a clean Geumcheon, expanding green infrastructure, and parking issues, and will post the results on the On-site Mayor’s Office Website for residents to check.
In the ‘Suggestions and Processing Results’ section, residents can check the results of handling suggestions such as hosting export fairs, supporting promising small and medium enterprises’ overseas exhibitions, and creating public flower beds in Gasan Digital Complex.
In the ‘Field Administration’ section, you can get a glimpse of various district government activities centered on the field, including on-site-centered work report meetings, on-site inspections for major accident prevention, on-site planned patrols, and the appointment ceremony of the Neighborhood Happiness Keepers held on May 9.
The ‘Direct Text Message to the Mayor’ section provides a dedicated phone number for text messages where residents can ask anything about Geumcheon-gu, including opinions and daily inconveniences. Geumcheon-gu operates this service to ensure residents receive sincere and detailed responses through direct texts to the mayor.
Geumcheon-gu collected suggestions received via direct texts, such as hosting the National Singing Contest, and successfully held the event on April 4. In addition, regarding complaints about ‘accumulated waste from elderly people with hoarding disorder,’ a large-scale waste cleanup was conducted with about 20 volunteer residents to resolve residents’ inconveniences.
