Seodaemun-gu Conducts 'Risk Assessment' at 69 Workplaces to Prevent Serious Accidents
Targets include river facility management sites, environmental cleaning work sites, and recycling sorting centers
Seodaemun-gu (Mayor Lee Seongheon) will conduct a risk assessment of workplaces and facilities under the district's jurisdiction by the 23rd of this month to create safe workplaces and prevent major citizen disasters.
Risk assessment involves identifying harmful and dangerous factors in advance, estimating and determining the likelihood and severity of injuries and illnesses, and based on the results, establishing and implementing improvement measures to reduce risks and prevent major disasters.
The targets of this assessment in the district are 69 locations including river facility management sites, environmental cleaning work sites, recycling sorting centers, and citizen disaster management facilities.
Seodaemun-gu safety managers, the major disaster team, risk assessment specialized agencies, as well as the honorary industrial safety supervisors representing workers, participate together for more objective inspections and practical risk prevention.
Through this, they check compliance with laws and regulations postings, conduct safety and health education, inspect and manage protective equipment, and verify adherence to safety and health measures during work, while also listening to near-miss accident cases and opinions for industrial accident prevention from workers.
