Wando-gun Promotes On-site Consulting to Create the Clean Jeonnam Best Village

Wando-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Shin Woo-cheol) promoted on-site consulting for the ‘Clean Jeonnam Best Village Making’ project on the 2nd.

According to the county on the 5th, the ‘Clean Jeonnam Best Village Making’ project has been promoted since 2021 to cultivate clean and beautiful villages through voluntary participation of residents.

Wando County conducted on-site consulting for residents of Hangdong Village, Gunoe Yeongheung Village, Jungri Village, and Sinji Wolbu Village as part of the 'Creating the Best Clean Jeonnam Village' initiative.

The county formed promotion teams in 136 villages for resident-led clean and beautiful Wando, providing administrative support such as on-site meetings, progress checks, and collecting difficulties.

On that day, they visited the sites of Hangdong Village, Gunoe Yeongheung Village, Jungri Village, and Sinji Wolbu Village, selected through a preliminary demand survey by Jeonnam Province evaluation committee members and county officials, and provided customized on-site consulting on discovering distinctive projects and development directions for each village.

Residents’ autonomy committee chairpersons, village chiefs, and residents participating in the consulting presented difficulties and suggestions to the experts, showing high interest and commitment to the ‘Clean Jeonnam Best Village Making’ project.

A county official stated, “We will spare no administrative support so that villages gradually change beautifully through residents’ voluntary participation and that the village community revitalization and sustainable best village cultivation project can be smoothly promoted.”
