Woori Bank announced on the 4th that it has launched the ‘Elegant Dollar Savings Deposit,’ which allows customers to accumulate both US dollars and airline mileage simultaneously.
The Elegant Dollar Savings Deposit is a new foreign currency product in partnership with Woori Bank and Asiana Airlines. Customers can choose to deposit $20, $30, $40, or $50 once per day, and Asiana Airlines mileage is accumulated based on the deposit amount, frequency, and maturity status. A total of 100 deposits can be made over a 5-month subscription period. It is available for subscription through Woori Bank’s application, ‘Woori WON Banking.’

A Woori Bank representative stated, “With overseas travel demand recovering after COVID-19 and increased interest in foreign currency deposits, we designed this product to allow customers to accumulate travel funds and airline mileage together in small amounts over a short period.” He added, “Along with the high interest benefits of the US dollar, customers can efficiently save travel funds by reducing exchange rate risk through daily automatic transfers or individual deposits.”
