Dong-A University and Tufts University in the U.S. Join Hands for Student Exchange
Dong-A University has signed a memorandum of understanding with Tufts University in the United States to carry out various activities such as overseas student exchanges and the activation of faculty research.
Tufts University, established in 1852, is a private university in Boston known as the third most prestigious university in Massachusetts, following Harvard and MIT.
Starting with this exchange, Dong-A University College of Medicine plans to actively support outstanding medical students to participate in overseas exchanges by signing agreements with countries such as the United States, Japan, and China, as well as establishing scholarship programs. It also plans to promote many exchanges to activate faculty research.

View original imageAs part of the exchange activities between the two universities, two students from the bioengineering department at Tufts University recently visited Dong-A University for two weeks to participate in clinical practice at the College of Medicine and research processes in the Department of Information Mathematics.
Harrison Wilson and Shanni Zhou, who participated in this practice, are prospective medical students entering the medical school. They participated in a medical-related research program during their undergraduate studies at Tufts University and visited Dong-A University this time to experience foreign medical systems and research processes.

Kang Do-young, Dean of Dong-A University College of Medicine, said, “Outstanding students from the Boston area in the United States visited and exchanged with our university, which gave our students much interest and stimulation,” adding, “We will further activate overseas exchanges so that undergraduate students can prepare for international mindsets and the global trend of academic convergence.”
