Changwon Special City, First TED Talk on Cultural Content ... Offering Dreams and Hope to Youth
Lecture by Changwon-born YouTuber 'Gayo-i'
On the 1st, Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam held the first 2023 Changwon City Cultural Contents TED lecture at the Changwon National University International Conference Hall, attended by about 350 local young people.
On this day, the lecture was given by Gayo-i, a YouTuber from the ‘Gayo-i Growing’ channel with about 660,000 subscribers. Under the theme ‘A to Z of Becoming a YouTuber,’ Gayo-i shared experiences and advice on the process of becoming a YouTube content creator and how to produce creative content.

View original imageAs the K-content market is rapidly growing, the lecture was filled with enthusiasm from young people attending to learn about the content industry. YouTuber Gayo-i candidly shared not only stories about the YouTube industry but also sincere discussions about young people’s career and daily life concerns.
Jo Myung-rae, the 2nd Deputy Mayor, said, “Changwon City TED was created to share the knowledge and experience of content experts to help local youth unleash their infinite imagination and assist in planning their future,” adding, “We will continue to strive to provide opportunities for many young people to gain inspiration and passion to pursue their dreams and aspirations.”
The 2023 Changwon Special City Cultural Contents TED is a project aimed at encouraging interest in the content field and helping local teenagers and young adults design their careers in line with the trends of the 4th industrial era.
