The county is enhancing the effectiveness of inspections by using drones to conduct practical and meticulous checks on facilities that are difficult to inspect with the naked eye, facilities that are hard or dangerous for people to access, and wide-area regions.
Earlier, on May 30, Deputy County Governor Kwak visited two bridges in the county, including Seokcheon Bridge in Anui-myeon, a lever-type bridge, and two other bridges rated C for facility safety, to inspect their overall safety management status in relation to the recent social issue of Jeongja Bridge collapse. On June 1, he plans to participate in safety inspections of three village halls in the county, which were requested through a resident application system.
The county will take immediate corrective actions on minor issues found during the safety inspections on-site, and for facilities requiring repair or reinforcement, it will ensure thorough follow-up management until the measures are completed to prevent safety accidents.
