On the 30th (local time), Russia accused Ukraine of being behind a drone attack incident that occurred in the capital, Moscow. However, Ukraine denied the allegation.
According to major foreign media including NBC News, Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesperson, stated during a phone briefing with reporters that “it is certain that the Ukrainian regime is behind this incident,” and added, “this attack demonstrates the necessity of the 'special military operation.'”

View original imageHe continued, “President Vladimir Putin started work very early today,” and “he received real-time reports from the Ministry of Defense, the Moscow region, and emergency authorities.”
Along with this, Peskov explained, “The president is currently working at the Kremlin,” and “there are no special plans for the president to comment on this incident.”
He also said, “The air defense units and the Ministry of Defense responded well, and fortunately, no one was killed,” adding, “there is currently no threat to Moscow and the surrounding areas.”
On the morning of the same day, Moscow was subjected to a large-scale drone attack. As a result, some apartments in the western and southwestern parts of the city were damaged, and there were injuries. This area is known to be home to many members of the Russian elite.
The drones reportedly flew in from the southwest of Moscow, the direction of Ukraine.
