[Weather] Overcast Nationwide with Rain in Some Areas on the First Day of the Golden Holiday
On the 27th, which is Buddha's Birthday and the first day of the holiday, the Seoul metropolitan area, Gangwon Province, Chungnam region, and other parts of the country will be mostly cloudy with rain in some areas.
In the Seoul metropolitan area and Gangwon Province, raindrops will fall from the morning through the night, while on the west coast of Chungnam and Jeonbuk, rain will occur between dawn and morning.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the expected nationwide rainfall on this day is 10 to 40 mm in the northwestern part of Gyeonggi Province and the five western islands, and around 5 mm on the west coast of Jeonbuk. Except for the northwestern part of Gyeonggi, showers of 5 to 20 mm are expected in the Seoul metropolitan area, Gangwon Province, and Chungnam region.
The morning low temperature is forecasted to be between 14 and 19 degrees Celsius, and the daytime high temperature between 21 and 28 degrees Celsius.
From night, winds will gradually strengthen over the outer sea of the West Sea, and waves will rise, so vessels engaged in navigation or fishing should exercise caution.
Fine dust levels will be 'Good' to 'Moderate' nationwide due to smooth atmospheric dispersion.
Wave heights in the coastal seas will be 0.5 to 1.0 meters in the East Sea, 0.5 to 1.0 meters in the West Sea, and 0.5 to 1.0 meters in the South Sea.
Wave heights in the outer seas (about 200 km from the coastline) are predicted to be 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the East Sea, and 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the West Sea and South Sea.
