Sunchang-gun to Conduct 'Job Demand Survey' Until the 9th of Next Month
Sunchang-gun, Jeonbuk is accelerating the creation of customized jobs to resolve the employment crisis caused by COVID-19 and the global economic downturn.
The county announced on the 26th that it plans to conduct a three-week job demand survey until the 9th of next month to identify hiring information from local companies and share it with job seekers such as youth and middle-aged residents living in the county to connect them with employment opportunities.
This demand survey will be conducted targeting about 140 companies registered in Sunchang-gun, including those in the agricultural and industrial complexes. It will collect data on hiring schedules, scale, job fields, and required qualifications for each item regarding the companies' recruitment plans.
Based on this data, the county intends to seek effective countermeasures for job creation policies such as vocational education and training tailored to job seekers and corporate demand, development of corporate support programs, and workforce development.
Using the results of this demand survey, the county will establish a system that can appropriately allocate personnel according to demand through reliable information management of job seekers and employers, and will strive to systematically manage the workforce information required by companies through linkage with the Sunchang-gun Job Support Center to immediately connect it to employment opportunities.
Choi Young-il, the county governor, said, “Through the job demand survey, we will mutually connect residents who want to find jobs and the workforce needed by companies so that Sunchang becomes a place abundant with jobs and work where both can coexist.”
He added, “We will continue to strive to discover quality jobs desired by residents and companies and actively reflect various voices from the field, including difficulties arising in job seeking and recruitment situations.”
