Yeonggwang-gun, Promotion of Construction Project for Yellow Croaker Aquaculture Industrialization Center
Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do signed a business agreement with the owners of the land incorporated into the project on the 26th to successfully promote the Yellow Corvina Aquaculture Industrialization Center.
According to the county on the day, Kang Young-won and Kang Chang-won, the owners of the project site, attended the agreement ceremony and agreed to actively cooperate in the construction of the Yellow Corvina Aquaculture Industrialization Center, which the county is promoting as a key project, and to mutually cooperate in the sale and purchase of the land incorporated into the project.
The Yellow Corvina Aquaculture Industrialization Center was selected as a project by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, securing a project budget of 16 billion KRW. Currently, the local fiscal impact assessment has been completed, and administrative procedures such as investment review are underway.
The county plans to complete the land purchase this year, finish the basic and detailed design services by June next year, and accelerate the project aiming to complete the Yellow Corvina Aquaculture Industrialization Center in 2025, with normal operations starting in 2026.
County Governor Kang Jong-man said, “I deeply thank the landowners who made a difficult decision for the development of Yeonggwang-gun’s gulbi industry and fisheries,” and added, “We will proceed with the construction of the Yellow Corvina Aquaculture Industrialization Center without any setbacks.”
