Gyeongnam Province Offers 'Accommodation Discounts' for June Travel Month!
5만원 Discount on Payments Over 70,000 KRW at Accommodation Facilities in the Province
Coupon Issuance from May 30 to June 1 on Online Travel Agencies
Gyeongsangnam-do is offering accommodation discounts to visitors in the province in celebration of the "Travel Month of June."
Hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and jointly organized by Gyeongnam Province, Gyeongnam Tourism Foundation, and Korea Tourism Organization, the "Korea Accommodation Sale Festa" aims to stimulate tourism demand within the province and revitalize the growing tourism market as the COVID-19 situation eases.
From May 30 to June 1, Gyeongnam Province will provide accommodation discount coupons worth 50,000 KRW per person through online travel agencies such as Gmarket, Yanolja, Interpark, YogiYottae, and Wemakeprice to all citizens nationwide.
The coupons can be used when booking licensed accommodations within the Gyeongnam region if the total payment amount exceeds 70,000 KRW.
Consumers can receive coupons on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 10 a.m. on May 30 through the event pages of each online travel agency.
Only one coupon per person is issued across all online travel agencies, and coupons may run out quickly.
After issuance, the discount coupon must be used to book accommodation within approximately six weeks, from May 30 to July 14, with check-in required within 21 hours of receiving the coupon.
If a coupon is used at one issuing agency, it cannot be obtained from another travel agency.
For more details, inquiries can be made at the Korea Accommodation Sale Festa’s official call center.
In the cities and counties within the province, various events such as discounts on admission and experience fees at major tourist attractions, accommodations, and multi-use facilities, as well as social media (SNS) account participation events, will be held.
Information on city and county events can be found on the "Travel Month" website.
