Busan City Promotes 2030 Busan World Expo Bid in Connection with Dream Concert
Busan City will hold the 'Dream Concert,' the first of its kind in Busan, at 6 p.m. on the 27th at the main stadium of Asiad Main Stadium, linking it with the promotion of the bid for the 2030 Busan World Expo.
Marking its 29th year, the Dream Concert was organized to announce the closing of the '1st Climate Industry International Expo,' held for the first time nationwide in Busan from the 25th to the 27th, and to wish for the successful bid of the 2030 Busan World Expo.
Since its inception in 1995, this concert has grown into the center of K-pop festivals, featuring a large number of top domestic idol groups.
The city plans to actively promote the capabilities, charm, and determination of the candidate city 'Busan' for the 2030 Busan World Expo in various ways to key guests, including domestic and international future generations and members of the International Bureau of Expositions attending the concert.
First, a promotional 'Boogie' sculpture for the 2030 Busan World Expo will be installed on the deck of the Asiad Main Stadium, where the main entrance is located, along with a photo zone to provide visitors with special memories of the 2030 Busan World Expo and Busan.
Additionally, on the day of the concert, the 27th, those who post photos taken in front of the photo zone on their personal social media with the hashtag '2030BusanWorldExpo' will be entered into a draw to receive commemorative gifts for 100 people.
The city plans to naturally display promotional phrases for the '2030 Busan World Expo' combined with Busan's new city brand in all spaces where key VIP guests move or stay, such as entrances, VIP rooms, and reception halls.
Furthermore, to promote the 2030 Busan World Expo bid, the city will implement measures such as ▲using large banners inside the venue ▲broadcasting promotional videos for the 2030 Busan World Expo before the concert ▲displaying promotional banners on the official Dream Concert website ▲utilizing streetlight banners for promotion.
Mayor Park Hyung-jun said, "I am proud that large-scale events with great impact, such as the Climate Industry International Expo and the Dream Concert, are being held in Busan," adding, "We plan to actively promote the charm and capabilities of the 2030 Busan World Expo and the candidate city 'Busan' to domestic and international visitors and key guests attending this event."
He continued, "Until the bid decision announcement in November, we will do our best to widely publicize the theme and sub-themes of the 2030 Busan World Expo and the candidate city Busan by linking with major international events."
