Lee Chang-yong, Governor of the Bank of Korea, Attends Bank of Japan Financial Research Institute 'International Conference'
The Bank of Korea announced on the 26th that Governor Lee Chang-yong will depart on the 29th to attend the '2023 International Conference' hosted by the Bank of Japan's Institute for Monetary and Economic Studies in Tokyo, Japan, and is scheduled to return on the 31st.
The conference will be held from the 31st of this month to the 1st of next month under the theme "Old and New Challenges of Monetary Policy," with participation from central bank governors of major countries, officials from international financial institutions, and overseas scholars.
Governor Lee is scheduled to hold a dialogue with Maurice Obstfeld, a professor at the University of California and the keynote speaker.

Additionally, during his business trip, Governor Lee plans to meet with figures from the Japanese financial sector to exchange views on mutual interests such as the global financial and economic situation, and to visit the Bank of Korea's Tokyo office.
