Shift Up Recruits Developer Kim Tae-hoon from OpenAI to Strengthen AI Capabilities
Shift Up announced on the 26th that it has recruited AI developer Kim Tae-hoon, a Silicon Valley veteran, to advance its game artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
Engineer Kim Tae-hoon is a former developer at OpenAI, a US AI research company co-founded by prominent figures from Silicon Valley, and has experience in developing ChatGPT. He has worked on various projects including reinforcement learning, robotics, and deep learning model optimization. Recently, he founded a startup based on mobile motion capture technology, providing real-time avatar creation solutions. There was significant competition in the industry to recruit Engineer Kim, but he ultimately decided to join Shift Up, judging that its direction was the most suitable.
Shift Up plans to strengthen its technological capabilities and expertise in the game AI field by recruiting Engineer Kim. The goal is to develop the AI of all characters and NPCs (Non-Player Characters) in games produced by Shift Up to provide a realistic and immersive gameplay environment.
