Seodaemun-gu (Mayor Lee Seongheon) announced on the 26th that Seodaemun-gu Public Health Center and Korea Railroad Corporation Susak Management Station have decided to work together to prevent suicide and promote a culture of respect for life.
The two organizations recently signed a 'Business Agreement for Local Residents' Mental Health and Railway Safety' at the Susak Station third-floor office, attended by Park Seonjeong, Director of Seodaemun-gu Public Health Center, Jo Gihan, Manager of Korea Railroad Corporation Susak Management Station, and other officials.
Accordingly, they will strengthen mutual cooperation for ▲Life respect campaigns at Gajwa Station and Sinchon Station ▲Life keeper education for railroad corporation employees ▲Referral upon detection of high-risk suicide groups ▲Enhancement of railway traffic safety awareness.
Previously, the two organizations conducted a 'Joint Campaign for Respect for Life and Railway Traffic Safety' at the railroad crossing near Gajwa Station in September last year and April this year.
In addition, Seodaemun-gu Public Health Center has been promoting 'Youth Mental Health Checkups and Suicide Prevention Campaign' events in collaboration with Korea Methodist Theological University, Myongji University, and Chugye University for the Arts within the region.
Last month, they also conducted activities such as 'Solving Quizzes to Spread a Culture of Respect for Life' and 'Checking Support Agency Information' targeting Yonsei University students and staff.
Furthermore, they signed a business agreement with the Seodaemun-gu Pharmaceutical Association and provide residents with 'Saengmyeong Sarang Envelopes' containing information on suicide prevention support agencies through designated 'Saengmyeong Sarang Pharmacies.'
