About 10 medical staff and employees, including Director Kang In, participated in this medical volunteer service. The volunteer team set up a clinic in the auditorium on the second floor of Hansan Nonghyup and provided Korean medicine medical services such as health consultations, acupuncture and pharmacopuncture treatments, and herbal medicine prescriptions to residents suffering from spinal and joint diseases. They also educated on simple stretching exercises that can be easily practiced in daily life.
Hansando is an island area accessible only by ferry, and is a medical blind spot with no proper medical institutions other than health centers and health clinics. As of last month, the elderly population ratio in Hansan-myeon reached 52.1%, increasing the demand for medical and welfare services.
