‘Yeongjin Goes Abroad’ … Yeongjin College Hosts Foreign Employment Event ‘Global Day’
646 Overseas Employment Cases in 6 Years

Yeungjin College (President Choi Jae-young) restarted its overseas employment program, which had been suspended due to COVID-19, after three years on the 25th.
The college held the ‘Global Day’ at the Bokhyeon Campus on the same day to activate overseas employment for enrolled students and enhance their global capabilities.

In the post-COVID era, the event was held diversely as the ‘2023 Global Yeungjin Day Season 2’.
The college’s International Exchange Center held an overseas employment and global field learning project and a university global program briefing session in the afternoon at the International Seminar Room, attended by about 300 students.
At this event, the ‘GET Overseas Employment Class’ operated by the International Exchange Center’s GET Center was introduced, and students wishing to work in the United States and Japan were recruited. This program aims to secure employment at excellent companies in advanced overseas countries by providing foreign language and local culture education for 1 to 2 years.
The special lecture on ‘Merits and Preparation Methods for Employment in Japan’ for students wishing to work in Japan was conducted by Kwon Won-ho, CEO of Global Touch, a Japan employment specialist organization.
International students enrolled at the college showcased their home countries’ cultures at an international cultural experience booth in front of the library for two hours from noon during lunchtime.
Japanese and Filipino students presented their traditional clothing and culture, while students from Turkey, Brazil, Kazakhstan, Russia, and China operated booths where visitors could taste their native foods (snacks) such as naan, cakes, and dried fruits, and experience their play cultures.
Over the past six years (2018?2023), the college has achieved the nation’s highest record by sending a total of 646 students to work overseas.
Employment records by country include 571 in Japan, 46 in Australia, 12 in Taiwan, and 6 in Singapore, among various other countries.
The college operates special overseas employment classes in departments such as Computer Information, AI Convergence Machinery, Semiconductor Electronics, and Hotel Aviation Tourism, producing these results.
In particular, this year, the newly established Global Systems Convergence Department plans to meet the diverse demands of students challenging overseas employment. This department trains experts in artificial intelligence software convergence, aiming for employment at local global companies in the United States and Japan, and operates as a three-year program.

Jeon Sang-pyo, Director of the International Exchange Center at Yeungjin College (Professor of AI Convergence Machinery Department), said, “This event will help students systematically understand overseas employment and contribute to fostering a global mindset,” adding, “We will continue to promote various international exchange programs to realize the vision of Global Yeungjin.”
