HD Hyundai Construction Equipment's Three Companies Operate Volunteer Day Participating in Environmental Protection
Designation of May as 'Global Volunteer Day' Annually, Continuous Expansion of Ecosystem Restoration
HD Hyundai Construction Equipment's three companies operate a 'Global Volunteer Day' in which all their business sites worldwide participate in environmental protection activities to restore ecosystems and preserve biodiversity. They have decided to designate one day each May as 'Global Volunteer Day' to continue ecosystem restoration efforts.
HD Hyundai Site Solutions, HD Hyundai Construction Equipment, and HD Hyundai Infracore, the three companies under HD Hyundai Construction Equipment, announced on the 25th that they carried out themed environmental protection activities near their business sites not only in Korea but also in China, Indonesia, Brazil, and the Czech Republic.
About 1,400 employees worldwide participated in the first 'Global Volunteer Day.' Employees who wished to contribute voluntarily gathered to engage in environmental protection activities instead of work to create a healthy planet for future generations.
HD Hyundai Site Solutions visited the Sunae Wetland Ecological Park in Tancheon, Seongnam City, which was damaged by flooding last year over an area of 12,000㎥, planting wildflowers, lotuses, peonies, and sukreong plants, and removing invasive species and weeds. They also walked the 4.5 km Uiryeong Trail in Bukhansan National Park, where they recently signed an ecosystem restoration business agreement, cleaning up landfill waste and fallen leaves blocking drainage.
HD Hyundai Construction Equipment visited Soim-myeon in Eumseong-gun, Chungbuk Province, a sister village, using their equipment to dig the ground and plant 300 Japanese pagoda trees along the roadside to offset harmful exhaust gases. They plan to continue regular management tasks such as pesticide application and watering to prevent pests and diseases. HD Hyundai Infracore is participating in a marine ecosystem restoration project managed by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries to manage companion beaches. On this day, they collected 1.1 tons of marine debris such as buoys and ropes from companion beaches at Hana-gae Beach on Muui Island in Incheon and Okdol Beach on Seonyudo Island in Gunsan.

Global business sites also joined forces in environmental protection activities on the same day.
