According to this agreement, Binggrae and Haitai Ice will conduct a 'Zero Waste' campaign to contribute to spreading the culture of resource circulation practice on university campuses. From the 22nd to the 25th, coinciding with Korea University’s festival 'Seoktap Daedongje,' if waste is separated and disposed of at the 'Zero Station' installed by Rico Co., Ltd. on campus for waste separation, Binggrae's 'Dowisanyang' products and Haitai Ice's 'Polarpo' products, which use eco-friendly packaging produced by flexographic printing, will be provided. Binggrae Dowisanyang and Haitai Ice Polarpo apply paper packaging instead of typical plastic or film packaging.
Flexographic printing uses eco-friendly water-based inks to protect the environment and reduces ink usage by more than 30% compared to conventional printing methods, making it effective in reducing carbon emissions, the company explained.
Binggrae is expanding products with the highest recycling grades, such as Acapella Simply and Doraji Tea, which use label-free packaging for eco-friendly management. To reduce plastic usage, they are also promoting lightweight containers for all products by applying minimal packaging that does not affect distribution and quality. In March, they changed the packaging of Together and Gracia Quank products by removing shrink films to reduce plastic usage.
