Yongin City Conducts Proactive 'Safety, Meals, and Hygiene' Inspections at Daycare Centers for Summer
A Yongin City official is inspecting meals and hygiene at a local daycare center.
View original imageYongin City in Gyeonggi Province is conducting safety inspections of facilities and buildings at daycare centers in the area to prepare for typhoons, heavy rains, and fires ahead of the peak summer season, as well as meal service and hygiene inspections to prevent infectious diseases and food poisoning accidents.
The inspections will be carried out on 347 daycare centers until July 25.
Yongin City will conduct on-site inspections of public daycare centers, while each district office will inspect private and home daycare centers.
The main inspection items include ▲ cracks and drainage conditions of buildings ▲ management status of fire extinguishers, sprinklers, etc. ▲ installation and proper operation of emergency exit signs and emergency lights. Yongin City will also order repairs or replacements of equipment if necessary.
Yongin City will also conduct meal service and hygiene inspections to prevent food poisoning. The main inspection items include ▲ personal hygiene management of childcare staff ▲ step-by-step management from inspection, storage, cooking, to serving of food ingredients ▲ compliance with hygienic handling standards of food and cleanliness management of the kitchen.
