Solvay's New Product for Improved Insulation Performance of Electric Motor Magnet Wire
View original imageBrian Balleno, Head of Automotive Marketing at Solvay Materials, explained, "High-voltage electric motors generally require thick magnet insulation up to 180 microns," adding, "While it was previously difficult to bond insulators to copper magnet wires, Solvay's new product can overcome these shortcomings." Solvay's new magnet wire insulation material offers better adhesion in a faster and more cost-effective single-layer process, while requiring less energy to extrude a single insulation layer, making it a sustainable product.
