SK Files Lawsuit to Evict Real Estate at Nabi Art Museum
It has been revealed that the side of Chey Tae-won, chairman of SK Group, has filed a lawsuit requesting the Art Center Nabi Museum, directed by Noh So-young, who is currently undergoing a divorce lawsuit, to vacate the real estate.
SK Innovation filed a lawsuit against Art Center Nabi on the 14th of last month at the Seoul Central District Court, demanding the delivery of the real estate. The property SK Innovation is requesting to vacate is the 4th floor of the Seorin Building, the SK Group headquarters located in Jongno-gu, Seoul, where Art Center Nabi is housed. Art Center Nabi opened at this location in December 2000.
The Seorin Building is managed by SK Innovation, a key affiliate of SK Group. It is known that the contract with Art Center Nabi ended around 2018 to 2019. With this, the number of lawsuits involving Chairman Chey and Director Noh has increased to at least four.
Chairman Chey and Director Noh are currently engaged in a divorce lawsuit. Chairman Chey publicly acknowledged an extramarital child in 2015 and filed for divorce mediation in July 2017. Director Noh filed a countersuit in 2019, demanding 300 million KRW in alimony and 50% of the SK Inc. shares held by Chairman Chey as property division.

In December of last year, the first trial ruled that the SK Inc. shares are special property and not subject to division, recognizing only 100 million KRW in alimony and 66.5 billion KRW in cash. As both parties appealed, the second trial is ongoing. Director Noh filed a provisional injunction to prevent Chairman Chey from disposing of the shares, but it was dismissed, and she immediately appealed. In March of this year, Director Noh also filed a 3 billion KRW damages claim against Kim Hee-young, director of the T&C Foundation and Chairman Chey’s cohabitant.
