LIG Nex1 Participates for the First Time in Malaysia International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition
Exhibition of 'K-Defense' Product Line Including Trap-Equipped Guided Weapons and Medium-Range Air Defense Systems
LIG Nex1 announced that it will participate in the international maritime and aerospace exhibition ‘LIMA (Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace Exhibition) 2023’ held on Langkawi Island, Malaysia, from the 23rd to the 27th. This is LIG Nex1’s first time participating in LIMA 2023.
Celebrating its 16th edition this year, ‘LIMA 2023’ is an exhibition hosted by the Malaysian Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Transport. It is an international maritime and aerospace exhibition with participation from over 600 companies from 30 countries, including Southeast Asian nations.
LIG Nex1 will introduce to the navy the 130mm guided rocket ‘Biryeong’, the 2.75-inch guided rocket ‘Bigung’, and the medium-range naval surface-to-air missile ‘Haegung (K-SAAM)’ for ship defense, as well as to the air force the medium-range, medium-altitude surface-to-air interception system ‘Cheongung-II’ and the Korean GPS-guided bomb ‘KGGB’.
At this exhibition, the Republic of Korea Navy will dispatch the new 4,900-ton class landing ship (LST-II) ‘Nojeokbong’ to the site to operate as a ‘shipboard exhibition hall.’ LIG Nex1 displayed scale models of Haeseong, Cheongsang-eo, and systems mounted on frigates and submarines in the ‘shipboard exhibition hall.’
