Teenager Caught for 'Unlicensed and Drunk Driving' in Downtown
In the early morning hours, a teenage youth driving under the influence in downtown Gwangju was caught by the police following a citizen's report.
The Gwangju Nambu Police Station announced on the 22nd that they are investigating A (15) on charges of drunk driving without a license (violation of the Road Traffic Act).
A was caught by the police around 3:10 a.m. near Baegun Intersection in Nam-gu, Gwangju, while driving a small car under the influence of alcohol.
The police responded to a report stating, "The vehicle's engine kept stalling while in motion, and it was swerving," and apprehended A at the scene.
At the time, A's license was suspended, and the vehicle was found to belong to A's father.
A reportedly told the police, "I drove my father's car out of curiosity."
