Gwangju Dong-gu, 5·18 Memorial Special Exhibition 'Guardians of Mudeungsan'
Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, will hold a special exhibition commemorating the 43rd anniversary of the May 18 Gwangju Democratization Movement, titled "Guardians of Mudeungsan," at the poet Moon Byung-ran's house in Jisan-dong until the 18th of next month.
This exhibition offers a chance to revisit the late poet Moon Byung-ran's works, including poems such as Mudeungsan, May, Spring of the Korean Peninsula, and Pyongyang Train Ticket, which sing of independence, democracy, and unification.
It is especially meaningful as visitors can also appreciate 64 unique May poems creatively reinterpreted by 64 sixth-grade students from Dongsan Elementary School, based on the poet's life and works.
