'Umi Hope Care' is a project that supports young family caregivers by reducing their caregiving and living expenses burdens and helping them achieve stable independence. The program plans to provide customized integrated services divided into four areas: caregiving, living expenses, career, and emotional support. It targets individuals aged 16 to 24 residing in Gwangju Metropolitan City, and the project operation is managed by the Save the Children Western Regional Headquarters Gwangju Child Rights Center, an international child rights NGO.
Eligible participants will be connected to the basic social safety net and receive living expense scholarships. They can also participate in individualized career and academic advancement programs as well as networking with other young family caregivers.
