Lee Soo-hee, Mayor of Gangdong District, joined the Gangdong branch of the Seoul Eastern Region Youth Crime Prevention Committee under the Ministry of Justice on the 12th to distribute pens inscribed with the phrase ‘Youth Drugs No No!’ to students in front of the school gate at the dismissal time of Baejae Middle and High School, launching a campaign to eradicate youth drug use.

This campaign was organized to raise awareness of the seriousness and to prevent in advance the recent exposure of youth to drugs, such as the drug beverage incidents targeting teenagers that occurred around the Daechi-dong academy district, which has emerged as a social issue.
Lee Soo-hee, Mayor of Gangdong District, stated, “Since drugs simultaneously destroy both the body and mind, prevention is most important,” and added, “We will work together for the healthy future of the youth, who are the future generation.”
