View original imageOK Savings Bank announced on the 15th that it conducted a voice phishing prevention education program for the elderly on the 12th to eliminate financial blind spots.
During the education session held at the Seongbuk Senior Welfare Center in Jongam-dong, Seoul, OK Savings Bank provided the elderly with information on ▲the concept of voice phishing ▲cases and amounts of damage by type of voice phishing crime ▲damage status by age group ▲methods of crime prevention and response. They also shared response methods related to messenger phishing (impersonating family or acquaintances via messenger to fraudulently obtain personal information from the elderly), which has been spreading recently, and voice phishing impersonating public institutions. To ensure prompt response to elderly victims of voice phishing, training was also provided to welfare center staff.
Since 2020, OK Savings Bank has been conducting voice phishing prevention education for seniors at welfare centers to minimize financial fraud damage among the elderly.
