Hyundai Department Store Donates 100 Million KRW to Korea University for 'Green Campus' Sponsorship
Spreading a Culture of Carbon Neutrality Practice
Hyundai Department Store announced on the 15th that it has donated 100 million KRW to Korea University to support the creation of a green campus.

The donated funds will be used for the green campus project aimed at spreading a culture of carbon neutrality. Hyundai Department Store and Korea University will operate a large zero-waste clean zone on campus during the Seoktap Daedongje Festival starting on the 22nd, promoting and providing experiences on reducing single-use products and practicing waste separation.
Last year, Hyundai Department Store and Korea University signed a business agreement to respond to the climate crisis and practice ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) values, agreeing to jointly promote social contribution activities in the climate and environmental fields totaling 300 million KRW by 2024.
Kim Dong-won, President of Korea University, said, “I am pleased to continue the joint project with Hyundai Department Store this year as well to practice ESG values,” adding, “We will actively pursue various social contribution activities and realize an eco-friendly green campus.”

Kim Hyung-jong, President of Hyundai Department Store, emphasized, “This initiative is part of the company’s ESG management policy to practice eco-friendly activities together with customers,” and added, “We will continue various industry-academic cooperation activities to spread the culture of carbon neutrality.”
